Start Loving Yourself And Control Your Anger
Start Loving Yourself
Start loving yourself, as it is undeniably true. You can only spread love and care to the outer world if you first begin by loving yourself. It is impossible to share happiness if you are consumed by grief or sadness within your inner being.
This love will blossom when you fully accept yourself as you are. God has already bestowed upon you all the positive vibrations that you need to recognize. Often, we find ourselves complaining about our circumstances and holding the external world responsible for our anger or sorrow. However, this only amplifies our grief, hatred, jealousy, worries, and disappointments. Firstly, we must understand that no one can harm us or make us sad unless we allow them to do so.
Our peace resides within us, and we should not permit anyone to disturb our serenity and provoke us into worry and anger with their thoughts and actions. Always remember that if someone attempts to abuse or harm you, they will first harm themselves in the process. Just envision that if someone were to hurl abuse at you, they must first create those negative vibrations within their own mind, which will have an adverse impact on them.
If you refuse to internalize their abuse or negative thoughts, it will only be reflected back to them. Maintain your composure and remain calm, understanding that by breaking your harmony, you would be mirroring the inner turmoil of the person before you. Instead, foster feelings of sympathy and understanding for those who are suffering.
You should not worry about what others think of you and should be confident enough to believe on yourself.
Buddha and his disciple
Once, a disciple of Buddha who was known for his intellectual prowess and closeness to Buddha approached him and expressed his desire to spread Buddha's teachings across the world. Buddha inquired where he would like to go first. The disciple responded that he wished to go to a place where the people were known to be tough and rude. He believed that if he could bring awareness and enlightenment to the people there, it would be a true success for him.
Curious, Buddha asked the disciple, "What if they start abusing you upon seeing you dressed as a monk?" The disciple replied, "I would express gratitude to them for merely using abusive words and not resorting to physical violence."
Buddha smiled and further questioned, "And what if they try to physically harm you?" The disciple confidently replied, "I would still be grateful to them for only beating me and not attempting to kill me."
Buddha smiled once again, sensing the disciple's unwavering determination, and asked, "What if they go as far as trying to kill you?" The disciple calmly responded, "Even then, I would express my gratitude, for their actions would help me reach the destination I desire."
At this point, Buddha was assured that wherever the disciple went, he would successfully disseminate Buddha's teachings. Thus, Buddha granted him permission to embark on his chosen journey.
Thank you for reading. If you possess inner peace and radiate positive vibrations, you too can venture wherever you desire to go.
Always remember that Life is all about our attitude towards it.
